The inventor of the email (Electronic Mail) system was Dr. V.A. Shiva Ayyadurai. He is an Indian who designed the first email programming in 1980. He is the man who received the first email copyright in the registration number TXu-111-775 from the United States. The copyright has registered in the year of 1982. The most important thing is that this copyright registration was done before the patents were made out for the software and software related systems.
