The Russian government had set new trademark rules in Russia. Now Russian businesses may copy any trademark, patent, copyright, etc from unfriendly countries to make money without any consequences.

IP rights of U.S companies and other 23 unfriendly countries were stripped away in Russia. This resulted in several trademarks being copied by Russian business owners. Some of the brands that are copied are
Ikea, Instagram, McDonald's, and Starbucks. This is a strategy implemented by the Russian government after many of the western companies walked out of Russia due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

These are the trademarks applied by the Russian business owners:

1. IDEA FURNITURE FACTORY (with the Ikea logo)
2. RUSTAGRAM
3. INSTARUS
4. STARBUCKS
5. McDonald's
