Gymshark apparel was valued at approximately $1.3 bn in August last year. Gymshark brand posted videos on social media like Instagram, Tik Tok, etc. Gymshark was very successful in getting exposure using these videos, without traditional advertisement.
Sony Music Entertainment has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against fitness apparel brand Gymshark for using music that is owned by Sony. There are 297 recordings on the list, which means that, at $150,000 each, the maximum total damages sought could exceed $44m.
