The trademark to be registered should have distinctive features. As it cannot be blasphemous. It should not make any reference to a living person without his consent or his representative as the case may be. Anyone who wishes to oppose the trademark application has to issue a notice in writing to the Registrar within 3 months after the advertisement has been published .Meanwhile the applicant has to explain why the trademark should be issued to him. In case if there is no response from the applicant within two months after he has been received the opposition, it will be assumed that he has abandoned the application. If there is no opposition filed or if the dispute is decided in favour of the applicant, the registrar will issue a certificate of registration in favour of the applicant and the trademark registration is completed.
